That is definitely the word to describe what my past week has been. Last Friday I pack up my stuff and took most of it to a storage unit besides my clothes and other essentials that I still needed. Then the next day I was off to the airport where I flew to Chicago, switched planes and was off to St. Louis where my oldest brother and weather in the hundreds awaited me. He then proceeded to feed me my favorite meal: tacos and jubilee salad (salad made of vanilla pudding, whip cream, granny smith apples, and snickers, so good). Bless his heart! We then just chilled around his place, watching Pirates of the Caribbean movies that were on TV. Then when it got dark enough, we took his telescope to view the moon, Mars, and Saturn. Saturn was definitely the coolest to look at because of the its ring. After that we both crashed because we had both woke up between four and four-thirty that morning (him to view Venus and Jupiter, me because I couldn’t sleep and then took pictures of the sunrise).
The next morning, Nathan made me breakfast of chocolate chip pancakes (He was spoiling me rotten and would even let me do the dishes!). That afternoon we headed out to Hannibal where we met up with the rest of the fam and transferred me to my different handlers. lol. Got back home to Iowa, visited the coffee shop, changed clothes, and was off to Shiloh for a summer camp service. The next day, mom and I decided to go help out at the kitchen at Shiloh where Natalie and Zach have been working and kicking butt. I got assigned lettuce duty, so for three hours I helped clean and spin lettuce. It was a great workout for my arms. :D After that, I followed Natalie around and helped her with her job, which is organizing everything and knowing where everything is in the kitchen so she can get it for people. (Her and Zach, who is the dishwasher, run at 90mph in everything they do there). We were at Shiloh until almost seven and just came home and crashed.
Tuesday, July 3rd, I had a chance to settle in a little bit. That afternoon was spent hanging out with friends, then we headed up to Shiloh for the spectacular fireworks show. It was LOTS of fun!!!!! Then the 4th, we all got up early to watch Natalie run in a 5k, where she kicked butt and came in second overall. YIPPEE!!!!! Next, we when to service where there was AWESOME worship and word. It was all about the America and its Founding Fathers and what they believed. And how it is in our personal walk with God that can change the course of America. We walk out our covenant with God and through that the peoples heart will turn.
The following day, was my Mom and Dad’s anniversary. HAPPY 26TH ANNIVERSARY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We gave a friend a ride into Iowa City to the bus stop, then mom, dad, and I be-bopped around town. (Yes, I was crashing my parents anniversary date. lol. Don’t worry though, I paid for lunch :D). Yesterday, I was finally put back to work. Dad and I sanded, caulked and patched for a few hours at a job site. I actually spent most of my time playing with a blow dryer. And no, I was not doing my hair. I blew dry all the patchwork so we wouldn’t have to be there forever. lol.
So yeah, that has been my whirlwind of a week. Hope y’all had a wonderful 4th of July (Happy Belated Birthday America!).
“That’s All Folks!”
